DEI offers a variety of Health and Safety and Human Resource services including but not limited to:

Policies & procedures

We’ll make sure you not only have what you need but that it works for your organization. Procedures will include templates (as required) to take it from a ‘piece of paper’ to a working procedure.

Safety training presentations.

We will develop training procedures that go above and beyond the ministry of labour requirements for:

Worker health and safety training package: Site-specific orientation package reviews all the rights, responsibilities and hazards of your business and sets the stage for successful on-boarding of employees.
Competent Supervisor; Every time a worker is promoted to a position of authority over a job or worker(s) they need this training. It speaks to their liabilities as well as responsibilities and gives them a little Supervisor training on how to communicate with their employees.

Joint Health and Safety Committee set up /realignment/training

Whatever it takes to make your JHSC work. A working committee works for you. They ensure communication on all levels, are your watchdogs for hazards while you focus on building your business and they’ll poke you when you let things slide. The better they are the smoother your business will run, and dare we say with happier, healthier more engaged employees with less turn over.

Risk identification and mitigation

Using the risk assessment process we review your equipment, focus on your highest risks and bring them down as low as reasonably practical.
We will develop a plan/timing for you to move forward based on the level of risk.

Safety upgrades

We have aligned with proven, safety contractors for training, program assistance, and mechanical or electrical upgrades. These contractors are specialists in their fields.
We can help you manage requests for quotes to acceptance testing and assist with timing to reduce costs and downtime. We ensure that the upgrades work with your process and comply with applicable legislation.
We also provide 3rd party engineer review of electrical/hydraulic/ pneumatic of the proposed upgrade schematics to ensure they are done right.
Finally, we can provide the prestart health and safety reviews (PSR) for your equipment as required.
